Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: 28 July 2026
You can have the data CypherCrew holds about your Facebook Page or Instagram account deleted at any time. There are two ways to do it — the first is automatic.
Option 1 — Remove the app in Facebook (automatic)
- Open Facebook and go to Settings & Privacy → Settings.
- Select Apps and Websites in the left-hand menu.
- Find CypherCrew in the list.
- Click Remove, and confirm.
Facebook notifies us the moment you do this. We delete the associated data straight away and Facebook shows you a confirmation code and a link to check the status of the request. Nothing further is needed from you.
Option 2 — Ask us directly
Use this if the account is no longer accessible to you, or if you would rather ask us. Enter the Facebook Page name, Instagram username, or the email address associated with the account, and we will locate and delete the data.
Requests made through this form are verified by a person before anything is deleted — we cannot delete an account's data on the say-so of an unverified form, because doing so would itself be a security hole. You will get a confirmation code immediately and we complete verified requests within 30 days.
What gets deleted
| Deleted | Kept |
|---|---|
| The stored access token for the channel | Your posts on Facebook/Instagram themselves — these live on the platform and are yours to delete there |
| The channel record: Page/Instagram ID, name, account type | The agency's own work records (the task, the draft copy, the brief), with all platform identifiers stripped out |
| Cached comments we fetched, including commenter names | A record that a deletion request was made and honoured — the confirmation code, the date, and counts of what was removed. It holds none of the deleted content. |
| Insights and analytics snapshots for your posts | |
| Publish records linking our content to your account |
Note: deleting this data does not remove posts that were already published to your Facebook Page or Instagram account. Those are on the platform, under your control — delete them there, or use Delete from platforms in the app before disconnecting.
