Terms of Service

Last updated: 28 July 2026

These terms govern use of the CypherCrew application, including its Social Studio module, which publishes content to social platforms on your behalf.

1. Who may use it

CypherCrew is provided to our staff and to clients we have an agreement with. Accounts are issued by us; they are not open to public self-registration. You must be at least 16 and authorised by your organisation to use the account you are given.

2. Your account

  • Keep your password confidential and do not share your account.
  • Tell us immediately if you believe your account has been misused.
  • You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.

3. Connecting social channels

Connecting a Facebook Page or Instagram Business account grants CypherCrew permission to act on that channel on your behalf. By connecting a channel you confirm that:

  • You are authorised to manage that Page or account.
  • You permit us to publish content you or your team schedule, and to read engagement and insights for content published through us.
  • You understand that permission lasts until you disconnect the channel in the app or remove CypherCrew from your Facebook settings.

We use these permissions only for the purposes described in the Privacy Policy. We do not post anything that has not been created and approved inside the app.

4. Content and conduct

You agree not to use CypherCrew to publish content that:

  • infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • is unlawful, deceptive, harassing, hateful or violent;
  • is spam, or automated engagement intended to manipulate a platform's systems;
  • breaches the terms or community standards of the platform it is being published to.

You retain ownership of the content you upload. You grant us the limited right to store, process and transmit it for the sole purpose of publishing and reporting on it as you have instructed.

5. Platform rules come first

Content published through CypherCrew is also governed by the rules of the destination platform, including Meta's Platform Terms and Community Standards. Where those rules and these terms conflict for activity on that platform, the platform's rules prevail. A platform may reject, remove or rate-limit content, or revoke our access, and we cannot override that.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Scheduled publishing depends on third-party APIs that may be slow, rate-limited or unavailable. Where a publish fails, the app records the failure and surfaces it — but we cannot guarantee that any individual post will go out at an exact time.

7. Suspension

We may suspend or terminate access where an account is used in breach of these terms, where required by law, or where a platform requires it. Where we can, we will tell you why.

8. Liability

The service is provided on an "as is" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost goodwill arising from use of the service, from content published through it, or from a third-party platform's actions. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Your data

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. You can have data deleted at any time — see Data Deletion.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
